disebut code yang dicontrol, dan code yang berjalan di luar CLR disebut code unmanaged.
Komponen COM, COM +, C ++, komponen ActiveX, dan Microsoft Win32 API adalah contoh codeyang tidak terkelola.
Framework .NET memungkinkan interoperabilitas dengan code yang tidak dikelola melalui layanan invoke platform, namespace System.Runtime.InteropServices, interoperabilitas C ++,dan COM interoperability.
